Science only please

In an article from the Guardian on the 27th of January, it became known that Creationists sent hate mail to Attenborough.

This is incredulous. This man has produced amazing documentaries and opened the wonder of the world to unknowing masses. It is not from the pulpits that length and depth of life on this planet has become known. Further it is through stringent scientific research that has led to our understanding of what life exists now and what doesn't exist any more and the link between these two.

And as Sir Attenborough points out, "They always mean beautiful things like hummingbirds. I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball. The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."

I would go further and say that much of the insects that exist currently didn't exist 100 years ago. God still creating these insects?

Scientific research proves Intelligent Design is not worthy of its name. But that is not to say that religion and science can't co-exist. I personally believe that all life in the universe stems from the Big Bang, and this event could have being triggered by God. That or some scientists near Geneva, but I'll stick with my original believe here.

So please keep only real science in science class, and only religion in religious education.
