The weekend is over and I'm on the tube to work. But we had a great weekend.
Friday night we stayed in, watched Grey's Anatomy and drank some wine. Nice meal cooked by Rachel.
Saturday we polished off the wine whilst sitting around watching Juno & tennis. Before we headed down to Kent.
We were invited to dinner by a friend of mine and his wife. Alan & Lana Bell, I know Alan from boardgames, actually meeting him before either of us moved to London.
But I digress. Easy trip down despite engineering works on district line. We just caught the 17.32 out of Charing Cross and got down to them before 6.
Warmed up for evening with a few games of Apples to Apples, with crisps and wine. Whilst Alan cooked.
The meal itself was lovely. Thai green curry. Went down very well.
We then sat around around chatting, drinking more wine and played more Apples.
Before finishing the evening off with Monopoly and a last bottle of wine (silly game but I won).
We stayed over and made our way back to London in the morning with Lana who had to meet someone.
Very pleasant and enjoyable time.
Getting back into London, Rach and myself made our way back to Fulham, we watched the second half of a very turgid affair from the RDS where Leinster stumbled to a much needed win over Edinburgh.
At least lunch was decent and there wasn't too many Ozzies in the bar.
Back home then and we got through some chores and settled down to relax the day away. Watching first tennis and then Six Feet Under for the first time.
We watched 5 episodes and thanks to Alan for lending it to us and for the weekend.
Work soon, all begins again. Oh and I've just read a text that Murray lost, bad start to the week indeed.
